Beaches


The Gulf Coast is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, famous for their powdery white sand and brilliant sunsets. Just a few short miles from Legacy Hotel and IMG Academy, visitors can choose to explore Lido Beach, Longboat Key, Siesta Key Beach, Anna Maria Island and more.

Take a drive through downtown Sarasota, along the bay, and across the famous Ringling Bridge to enjoy Longboat Key and Lido Key Beach. On Lido Key, you’ll find areas to kayak and paddleboard along the canals of Sarasota Bay while getting lost in the mangroves.

Just a little further south, wind through downtown Sarasota and into Siesta Key Beach – ranked the #1 beach in the United States by TripAdvisor. Enjoy the white sand between your toes before grabbing lunch, dinner or an afternoon cocktail in Siesta Key Village – home to shops, bars and local restaurants.

Beginning July 27th face coverings are mandatory in all Manatee County businesses. Individuals in violation of this resolution will receive a citation first in the form of a written warning, second as a $50 fine and finally as a $125 fine. Discover stunning Robinson Preserve – a nature reserve filled with entrancing Spanish Moss, mangrove forests and aquatic waterways offering kayak and paddleboard rentals. Get lost in the lush environment at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in downtown Sarasota. The 15-acre botanical garden features the living museum and children’s rainforest garden on Sarasota Bay.
